My Skin Care Routine - Make your Skin Glow

As most of girls I always wanted this glowing skin you can see on TV screens and fashion magazines. Who knows how much money and time I've spent on looking for a perfect foundation, but I was looking for a solution in a wrong place!

After reading some books about beauty and skin care, I have decided that I will try to follow certain beauty routing to obtain glowing flawless skin. And guess what? It worked! And here is my summary of what I do to keep my skin fresh and glowing:

1. Wash/clean it! - you need to wash/clean your skin at least twice a day (morning and evening). If you have greasy skin, you need to clean/blot your skin approximately every 3 hours not to allow sebum mix with dirt which lands on your face because it will lead to enlarged pores and blackheads. I now use a Lotion from an Italian brand LCA: it's a salon skin care product which can be found only in Italy I guess;

2. Exfoliate - well, here someone would protest: MY SKIN IS TOO SENSITIVE to exfoliate. Guess what? It is sensitive, because you don't exfoliate it: layers of skin and dirt creates sort of a mask on your face which doesn't allow your skin to breath and enjoy the benefits of creams you use as your skin can't absorb them. So, start with gentle exfoliators with micro granules. I myself stick to microdermabrasion twice a week (RoC) and exfoliation (One-step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser from Clarins);

3. Tone - this is what usually women forget to do, but it is a very important step in your skin care routine. It will calm down and soothe your skin removing remaining impurities. I currently use Italian Toner - LCA Tonic Face Lotion;

4. Disinfect (in case of acne) - since I moved to Ireland, I started to have problems with minor acne. My forehead and chin always had some occasional pimples and I thought it is something related to hormones. In spite of that I decided to give Anti-acne PanOxyl gel a go and IT WORKED PERFECTLY for me. Noone advised it to m, I have found it on amazon, and since it had loads of great reviews, I have bought it together with PanOxyl Wash 10. Since then I can't imagine my life without these products!

5. Moisturize! - When it comes to this last point, everyone does it, however it takes time to find a product for yourself. My skin is slightly greasy, so I usually opt for liquid non-greazy moisturizers in conjunction with mattifying cream on greasy zones. My favorite moisturizer for now is Shiseido Night Moisture Recharge and Shiseido Day Moisture Protection SPF 15. YES, SPF is very important as it protects your skin from harmful UV. For mattifying I use Effaclar M Sebo-regulating moisturizer from La Roche-Posay.

After I have started to use this routine, I don't use any foundation or face powder anymore as I don't need them. I have much less pimples and blemishes. In case I get 1 or 2 occasional pimples, I just cover them with a concealer. The only cosmetic tool I use to give a bit more of a glow to my cheeks is a blush. MAC has huge varieties of them, so I often opt for MAC blushes. Good luck with your glowing future!
